TD Bank survey shows retailers continue to be optimistic

Ninety-four of the 100 buyers surveyed at the April market held that view, down slightly from 98 out of the 100 who answered the same way a year ago. Parsing the numbers more closely, 48% expected sales to increase this time vs. 60% a year ago, while 46% expect sales to remain steady, up from 38% a year ago.
